As a little girl I would make clothes for my Barbie dolls by using scraps of fabric given to me by my mother, a wonderful seamstress with her own sewing business. She would often stay up late at night to complete an outfit for me or one of my four sisters. We were the envy of our school and enjoyed the admiration and compliments the other girls would give us when we wore one of her new designs. I was even nominated “BEST DRESSED” in high school all because of my mom’s wonderful designs.
Through the years, I have often enjoyed sewing baby clothes for my children or friends and began making welding hats for my husband when we couldn’t find any that fit him the way he liked. These homemade hats caught the attention of his fellow workers and soon I had started a nice little business of my own!
Now, I would like to help you and your child pursue your dreams of sewing and fashion design!
